Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. My experience is in working with adults with histories of trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I have worked with my clients in exploring conflicts in their relationships; feeling safer in the world and their bodies; questioning the social norms of gender, sexuality, neurotype, and body image; and, my favorite part, cheering them on when they feel like they are able to live authentically as themselves in a harsh world that wants us to be small!
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, sleep issues, weight challenges, parenting struggles, or the impact of a life-altering injury or illness? I’m here to help. With over 30 years of experience as a licensed clinical health psychologist, I am committed to empowering you to tap into your inner strength, rediscover hope, and achieve personal growth. Together, we’ll develop a customized treatment plan with clear, measurable goals to track your progress and guide you toward lasting change.
Life doesn't always fall apart all at once. Sometimes it shifts — slowly or suddenly — and you find yourself standing in the middle of something you didn't plan for, not quite sure how to find your footing again.
I work with adults — particularly women — who are navigating major life transitions: divorce, career change, grief and loss, identity shifts, postpartum challenges, relationship changes, and the complex process of figuring out who you are when everything around you has changed.
My name is Nadine Cramer, and I've been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for over 22 years. I'm licensed in both Ohio and Pennsylvania and see clients throughout both states via telehealth. Over the course of my career I've worked in inpatient psychiatric settings, outpatient community mental health, and private practice. I've facilitated groups for postpartum depression, anger management, alcohol and substance use recovery, and cognitive restructuring — and I've brought everything I've learned in those settings into my private practice work.
My background has been shaped by walking alongside people through some of life’s most difficult and vulnerable experiences. I began working in hospice care, where I learned the importance of presence, compassion, and creating space for grief and meaning at the end of life. From there, I moved into intensive case management and addiction counseling in a methadone clinic, supporting individuals navigating substance use, trauma, and significant life challenges. Over time, my work has focused more deeply on individuals living with complex trauma, dissociation, personality disorders, severe mental illness, and experiences of domestic violence. These experiences have taught me how important it is to move gently, build trust at a pace that feels safe, and truly meet people where they are. I bring a steady, nonjudgmental presence into the therapy room, with the understanding that healing often begins in feeling seen, understood, and not alone.
I am August Irving, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and the owner of Life Lessons Counseling, LLC. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. While I work with a diverse range of clients, I have a special interest in supporting women through midlife and perinatal challenges. My approach is collaborative and practical, focused on building resilience, clarity, and sustainable change. I offer therapy in person in Clinton, Mississippi, and virtually throughout Mississippi and Pennsylvania.
I have spent 5 years working with individuals navigating narcissistic abuse, intimate relationship conflict, complex trauma, life transitions, chronic anxiety, neurodivergence, depression, BPD, grief, bipolar disorder, addiction, vocational stress, and more. My experience has taught me that while every person’s story is unique, our need for connection and agency is universal.
I hold a Master’s in Community Agency Counseling from Hampton University. Beyond my formal education, I am deeply committed to ongoing training in neurobiology and trauma-informed care. This means I don't just look at your thoughts—I look at how your nervous system is responding to the world around you.
