I’m a licensed clinical psychologist whose work is grounded in evidence-based, compassionate care. I completed advanced graduate training in clinical psychology, followed by supervised work in outpatient and higher-acuity settings, where I treated adults and adolescents with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
In my practice, I primarily use approaches like CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed therapies, integrating them in a way that’s tailored to each person rather than one-size-fits-all. I pay close attention to cultural and contextual factors, and I use measurement-based care so we can see whether treatment is actually helping you over time.
Clients often describe me as understanding, direct, and collaborative: I’ll bring structure and clinical expertise while also respecting your pace and values. I work with individual adults (and in some cases teens) who are dealing with issues like chronic stress, perfectionism, identity and life transitions, grief, and the impact of past traumatic experiences.
My goal is to provide a space that is both validating and change-focused; somewhere you can be fully honest, feel understood, and also develop practical skills to live in a way that feels more aligned with who you want to be
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who believes in a holistic approach to counseling that looks at the mind, body, and spirit. I integrate spiritual practices into my counseling sessions by creating a safe and open space for clients to explore their beliefs and values. My aim is to assist you in overcoming life’s challenges and achieving your fullest potential by exploring deeper meaning and purpose in your life. I use a mix of different methods to tailor my approach to each person, creating a supportive and empathetic environment for growth and healing. I love working with children, teens, adults, veterans and couples. My diverse experience helps me connect with people from all walks of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy horseback riding, spending time with my pups, serving at my church’s Youth Ministry, and staying active with CrossFit. These activities keep me balanced and fulfilled, and I bring that energy into my counseling practice.
If your child is having big feelings, behavior changes, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, depression, or challenges in relationships, you may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure what to do next. I work with young children, adolescents, and caregivers to help children feel more connected, understood, and supported. My specialty is early childhood mental health, with a focus on children from birth to age 12. I use play therapy, sandtray therapy, EMDR, and parent support to help children process difficult experiences, build emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships at home.
I have spent more than 25 years supporting young children and caregivers in settings focused on development, behavior, attachment, and trauma. Over the past several years, I have also served as a Mental Health Consultant, providing assessment-informed interventions and therapeutic support grounded in Child-Centered Play Therapy. My work is warm, relationship-focused, and developmentally appropriate. My goal is to help children and families feel safe, supported, and able to move toward healing.
I believe everyone has the capacity to heal. My own therapy helped me to trust in myself and others and I strive to build this trust with you.
My communication style is warm and direct as I first hear your story and then help you slow down. Together we’ll work to understand your emotions. Joy, anger, sadness and fear are messages to inform your life and how you want to be living. Therapy can help you decipher these feelings and get unstuck.
Before starting my private practice, I worked for several years as a middle and elementary school social worker. I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from Texas State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas A&M University. I continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow so that I can provide the best service to you.
I am a mother of two, native Austinite, and coffee aficionado (read addict). I love walking my dogs and speaking Spanish as often as I can.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m offering a background of over 15 years’ experience and advanced formal education in social services, mental health counseling, individual & group counseling, client relations, case management, and crisis intervention. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the historical black college, WV State University; along with a Master of Science degree in Social Work from University of St. Francis.
My client should know that I am concerned about the issues they are having. That they are my greatest priority when I see them. That I will go to great lengths to help them. I graduated from Dallas Baptist with a M. A in counseling. I have worked for a variety of mental health companies including MHMR. I work with teens, adults, elderly and couples. I utilize whatever theoretical orientation is best for my client. I use CBT and
TF-CBT.
I have had the pleasure of practicing psychotherapy for more than 15 years helping adolescent and adults in both individual and family therapy. As a minority LBGTQ+ identified therapist, you and I will utilize Cognitive Behavior to explore and examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviors towards more rationally conscious and healthy patterns
