Hi, I’m Rachel — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about supporting people as they navigate life’s complexities and transitions. My work centers on helping individuals explore identity, heal from trauma, and build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, LGBTQIA+ clients, pregnant and postpartum people, and those from culturally diverse and immigrant backgrounds. Together, we can unpack the ways family dynamics, culture, and personal history shape your story — and create space for new, empowering narratives to emerge.
Even in the middle of trauma, heartbreak, and uncertainty, still you can find joy. Even Still was born out of my deeply held belief that following the toughest moments of life, a comma lingers. A comma that signals the story is not over and there is light to be found in the darkness. It is my responsibility and deepest pleasure to be your guide in self-discovery and healing. I believe that by being genuine and providing unconditional acceptance, I can create space for vulnerability and growth.
I believe that humans should ideally be unfolding and growing throughout their lifetime. This means embracing change, especially when life gets difficult and we feel stuck, dissatisfied, or overwhelmed. Change is a journey with ups and downs. Personally, I believe we all struggle with challenges at different times in our life and it's the courageous who seek help.
I thought that I chose this profession; as it turns out, this profession chose me. I was meant to be a social worker. As a child, I remember thinking that there was a reason why people behaved a certain way and I wanted to know the root cause of that particular behavior. I have consistently met people where they are. I have worked with a diverse population of varying socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. I received my Master's degree in social work from Long Island University in 2008. I
